  Arina Burcéva

Classical guitarist and composer Arina Burceva has delighted numerous audiences with her artistry. She has performed extensively and taught master classes at the international guitar festivals in USA, South America and Canada. As a soloist and in collaboration with other artists, she has given concerts at such prestigious venues as Herbst Theatre in San Francisco, Helsingor Theatre in Arhus, Royal Danish Academy of Music, Courtleigh Auditorium in New Kingston, Jamaica, Miraflores Auditorium in Lima, Peru, Teatro Municipal in Arica, Chile, just to name a few. She has appeared ona radio, TV and in the written press. Arina's composition were published in the USA by Clear Note Editions.

Arina earned Master of Music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Dusan Bogdanovic and Sergio Assad, and Bachelor of Music degree with David Tanenbaum. She has taken master classes from Anniello Desiderio, Hopkinson Smith, William Kanengiser, Nigel North, among others. 

Born in Sumy, Ukraine, Arina was introduced to classical guitar at the age of nine. Five years later, she became the first prize winner at the national guitar competition and entered Glinka College of Music in Belarus. Upon immigrating to the USA in 2002, Arina won the first prize at the Schubert Club Scholarhip competition.


Arina's compositional style combines elements of classical, contemporary and world music. She draws inspiration from art, nature, mythology. She has written works for solo guitar and ensemble.

Arina currently resides in Santa Clara, California. She divides her time between composing, teaching and painting.
